hi socks, let's try a few things for fun shall we? fist hit startsettingscontrol panel and go to system icon at the left hand side of the screen you will see device manager and scrol down to the bottom of the list to see if you usb is installed here if it is right click it and update drivers. but it isn't reboot and when you see your windows logo start tapping f8 this will bring you to a safe mode option recommend that you scrol down and then hit last moment my system worked correctly and you will find it in device manager when you get back to your desktop then go there and update your usb drivers. good luck hope i was helpful to you
you know, i know how you feel, but id choose my battles, or at least compromise. If you go to bed at midnight thats pretty late. Tell him its not unreasonable to have guests while your still awake, or at least show up when your still awake, if not ask him to go to their houses.
