Question:

Is it possible to make a motorcycle with no motor sound like in the anime Durarara!?

Just curious. If so, what keeps it from making the sound? I don‘t know anything about motorcycles and such, just to let you know lol.

Answer:

Aside from a motorcycle being electric, no, you can not make a bike with no sound. Even electric motors have a whine to them.
as long as your car is starting good after you driven it very far then it,s safe to say the alternator is working good or the battery would go dead !
What concerns me is that the belt the drives the alternator might be the same one that turns the water pump. If the water pump is not turning on short drives it may not over heat, but on a long drive it might, and if this happens you might ruin the engine. So get the belts that drive the things like the water pump and alternator checked out. If you don't have the money to replace that belt, the odds are that you will not have the money for a replacement engine either. So ask yourself which is worse, to come up with money for a new belt or money for a tow truck and an engine overhaul (or replacement).

Anything is possible in a cartoon. Hence a motorcycle in the anime Durarara that doesn't emit any sound. But cartoons are not real. In the real world, motorcycles emit sound. As stated by others, even the electric powered motorcycle emit sound. Chain makes sound, tires on the pavement emit sound, and the electric motor emits sound. Same is true with a bicycle. Tires and chain create sound.
All motorcycles emit some sort of sound. An electric motorcycle is much quieter compared to a bike with a internal combustion engine but you would still hear a slight sound from the electric motor, the chain drive, possibly the tires from the road, etc.
