Question:

Is it possible to upgrade my motorcycle tyre size?

I am novice rider and just got a new bike. I was checking the sidewalls (rims) and saw not much difference, i am thinking of putting wider tyres. Is rim change necessary even though its only 10mm difference? My current stock tyres dimensions are:Frontgt; 100/80-17Reargt; 130/70-17New tyres:Frontgt; 110/80-17Reargt; 140/70-17

Answer:

Rims should not be a problem but make sure you check out the clearance of your chain guard, swing arm, fenders Etc.
Should be A-OK. Are you in need of new tire? If not, keep using the current tires until it is time for replacements. Why are you contemplating installing new tires on a new bike? Wider tires don't mean better tires. And don't worry about looks. That is the least of your concerns.
confident, it quite is going to despite if the one hundred ninety would be flatter around the tread and actually a sprint shorter , it quite is going to sluggish your turn in velocity a sprint, and reason you to exert a sprint extra attempt to hold the motorbike at a given lean attitude despite if it quite is going to extra healthful. genuine now i'm working one on my FZ6, have self assurance me while its wiped out i flow back to a a hundred and eighty!!! i presumed the FZ1 got here with a one hundred ninety inventory? maximum liter motorcycles do.
