Is it possible to use water based fire extinguishers to extinguish oil fires?
Water based fire extinguisher is suitable for fighting the initial fire of flammable solid or liquid, but it can not save the fire of live equipment. It is widely used in oil field, oil depot and wheel portable water base fire extinguisher.
Please note that only the first fire can be put out. If the effect is good, foam type is recommended.
