Question:

Is it worth $100 to install HIDs on a car?

i bought HID lights for my bfs 1996 honda civic for $100 bucks. The instillation fee is also $100. is it worth it or should i attempt to put them in myself? the auto stoore said i shouldnt have trouble trying to do this but on one of my other questions i asked about how to do this myself, somone posted that it is unsafe or impossible to do this ? i am unsure -_-

Answer:

Wasting 100$ on a 1996 car, nah not worth it.
Patch it with an oversize patch (a boot) about 25 bucks
You have an answer that is incorrect. Any light that is US DOT accepted is legal in EVERY state in the US. As for your HID lights, are you sure they are actually HID? Do you have a ballast for the lights? If no, they are not HID. Do the bulbs have filaments? If they do, they are NOT HID lights.
i would have the tire patched. when having the tire patched make sure they balance the tire after it has been repaired. this is for safety reasons.
