Question:

Is my iron level low?

My iron level is 9.34. Is that ok? Or is that extremely deficient?

Answer:

They used to say that 13-15 was good They used to say that blood pressure of 120 over 80 was good. They used to say that body temperature should be 98.6 See, those things are averageswhich means you have a bunch of high readings, and low readings put together, and divided into a single figure. And averages undermine the idea that each individual has a normal for them My iron tends to run about the same. If I take iron, I don't notice much difference, even though my test results go up A person who has a genuinely low level of iron, for them, can tell a difference when they take it. So if your doctor suggests it, and you take it and you feel better, you know for future refference, that 9.34 is low for youand that you hould be mindfull to eat more foods rich in iron and vitamin C (the latter increases the amount of iron you absorb)
that is extremely extremely deficient. 65-165 is considered normal. you need to talk with your doctor.
Very low. Correct it quickly. I used to take treatment from a popular trichologist in Bangalore and he would he tell me that anything lower than 50 in males and 20 in females will cause hair fall and baldiness. take iron supplements and take vitamin c along with that. He would tell me to take one tablet of each together after breakfast everyday. But be careful of getting constipated due to iron.
