In my 60 year old home, you can flush all the toilets in the house and the shower won't get cold all of a sudden.In my mother in laws 10 year old house, you can forget that - flush the toilet while you are in the shower and you're in for it.What gives? I heard a term called pipe balancing where the pipes are adjusted or installed in such a way where this wouldn't happen.Is it real? Can this be done?
Ric Flair over Kamala. - Sorry Uganda, but the giant is no match for Flair. The Crusher over Snuka - Crusher was the original Stone Cold, and way more badass than people give him credit for. Windham over Sting - Anyone that says Sting hasn't seen any of Windham's 60 or 90 minute broadways with Flair. The guy could wrestle, and since this is a classic wrestling tourney, Sting was still a youngin'. Greg Valentine over Warrior - I'm not sure why Warrior is even in this tournament. He didn't debut until 1985, and wasn't in the WWF until 1987. He's definitely an odd man out. Iron Sheik over Von Erich - David was one of the lesser Von Erichs Sheik in a landslide. Dusty Rhodes over Bundy - This tournament puts Dusty in his prime. He was world champ in 1979. Bundy was good, but Dusty was way, way better. Savage over Luger - Most people forget that Savage could actually wrestle. Luger was just muscles. Oof. This is the closest match of the card. While I think Martel would actually win, I'll vote for Curt Hennig. During this time frame, Martel is much better, but I'll always be a hennig fan.
The oven is probably just dirty. I doubt any of the previous tenants ever cleaned it so when you turn it on it is burning off years of built up grease and baked on spills. Oven cleaning is a pain but if you do that, first with some cleaner (obnoxious stuff but it works do wear gloves and ventilate the room) then scrubbing with Brillo and rinsing it well, then you won;t get all that smoke when it heats up. It is a major health and safety violation for your place not to have smoke detectors the rodent infestation is a violation too. You have the right to file a complaint with your city's housing authority. The landlord is legally prevented from harassing you for this plus you might qualify to have your rent held in escrow by the city until he corrects all the violations. You will still have to pay rent but the city will hold it until he takes care of his responsibilities. If you are worried about gas leaks, you can buy a gas leak detector. Or, if you think you smell gas any time you use the stove, call the gas company and they will come out and test it. If they find leaks they will red tag them and the landlord will be forced to pay for repairs. Another option in the meantime is to buy a counter top electric combination broiler, toaster overn and convection oven. I bought one a couple of years ago (about $60 at Home Depot) and even though I have a full-sized oven this counter top unit is so useful I cook more in it that the big oven. It is only about as big as a small microwave but I can broil a steak or bake a small pizza, pan of brownies or a half dozen muffins in it.
A gas engineer can detect if you have a gas leak, by testing at the gas meter which should take about 5 minutes. Tell your Landlord you suspect you have a Gas leak and get an engineer in to check it.
