Answer:

If new batteries, take them, it, out and replace. Make sure the contacts are touching the correct points on the CO detector. replace the cap/lid and press the button (if there isn't one and it is old, get rid). It should give off a shrill tone. Release the button and it should be quiet, if it still chirps, it is no good. Please dont risk your life for the sake of a ?10.00 detector.
WRONG . Only the Brown coal burning power stations in Victoria recieve subsidies . That is because the French owner said they would close them and leave Victoria in the dark . ( Labor wouldn't like that as no one would vote for them ) Black coal burning stations get no subsidies , But black coal is much cleaner burning than brown !!!! So do you really think Labor care about co2 emissions? Of course not . They are just pandering to the socialist agenda of the Greens .
