Is soda made of metal and if I put rum in it does it turn the rum into metal?
In Flames or Dark Tranquility. Both melodic death metal, so it still counts within the umbrella term death metal, right? I like them both because they're a bit different to the normal death metal bands; while still being incredibly heavy, I really enjoy the increased melody to their music, which I find awesome to listen to. I also quite like the variation in In Flames music in that Anders Fridén sometimes breaks into clean vocals, which is a striking difference to most of the death metal genre. On an unrelated note, I got to see Dark Tranquility live a few weeks ago at Rock City in Nottingham, UK. Were pretty awesome.
I dont know if they're death metal but Rammstein is awesome. They have pretty hardcore music. They're german so you'd need to look up the English lyrics but they rock!
I agree with Jeremy M, in part, Death is considerably the best. And also being his first and only answer. thumbs up dude. But the band that brought me into death metal, and I probably wouldn't still be a metalhead today if it wasn't for OBITUARY! It really doesn't get much heavier than that.
the band Death. Chuck Schuldiner pretty much started our favorite genre. Death is my favorite, even over At The Gates, Soilwork, In Flames, and all the other swedish melodic death groups i enjoy. if you've never heard Death and you enjoy death metal, give them a listen.
