im filing down some Aluminum, but the filings got to close to a magnet and some of them stuck to the magneti thought i was filing down Aluminum Zacto knife handles, but the only explanation that i can think of is that its some kind of alloy.what do you guys think?

I think a wireless router can do that job
It may be a sintered metal (made from metal powder, then heated and pressed into shape), rather than a true alloy.
