Question:

Is there a product which will gum moving parts up, sort of anti-WD40? Need a slide lock to slide less easily.?

The sliding lock is brass and it flies open all the time. I'm trying to figure out something which will make it slide less readily but still allow it to open when needed.

Answer:

Is it a combination smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector? If so, you could be having a CO leak. Your best bet is to call the fire department non emergency number and ask them to come out and check for you. Most (if not all) fire departments will gladly come out and check your alarms at no charge. They'd rather check for a false alarm than be called to a dead family. If it is a hardwire with a battery back up, it may mean that you are having fluctuations in your electrical current.
it sounds like you smoke alarm is broken.. you ll need to buy a new one head down to you local DIY store and you should be able to find one that you like there pretty affordable
Highly likely to be a faulty or corroded connection. Rather than fussing around with an old faulty device, just get a new one. Relatively cheap, and likely to save you money, stress and hassle in the long run.
Me neither, but I've heard most of the stuff here. So. Take No Prisoners Rust in Peace Polaris Peace Sells Symphony of Destruction Hangar 18 Can't say I've listened to any Megadeth albums straight through. Dave Mustaine? BA: I've heard more from Metallica. BA2: Stereolab. BA3: Gong.
