what's that cable called that controls which way the air flows?

I have a 2006 chevrolet 1500. The cable that controls which path the air flows through snapped. Of course it's out of warranty, so I'll be doing it myself. The vice grips work well but look pretty tacky. What's the proper name for this item.

the heater vent control cable. not really part you can find very easily thru a parts store, try junk yards first, then call up the dealer and they can get ahold of one but youll pay a little more for it.
Air flow control cable.
