Answer:

i dont like your question 'do we have the right to be depressed.' depression is a natural thing. millions i would bet billions of people feel depressed so it happens to enough people that we can say it is a normal thing. a natural thing. take a step back and think about what depression is. it is a condition of relative inactivity. it doesnt last forever. you feel tired and lethargic it is almost like a hibernation period which many animals experience. i think suicide is natures way of correcting the overpopulation problem in the world. it is a natural thing. when an animal species grows too large, nature puts a constraint on it. that is what suicide and abortion and homosexuality is. i know that many of you will think i am crazy or something for saying this but think of it from my perspective, which is zoological in nature, not from the perspective that humans are special compared to other animals
I just don't want to do without things like pelicans, fish, whales, songbirds, clean water and beaches, oxygen produced by plankton and many other very important things. I also don't want to sacrifice the lives of people who depend on fish, oysters etc. for their living. Then there is sacrificing beautiful cities like New Orleans. Did you know that the oil companies have destroyed most of the wetlands and marshes around New Orleans over the last 50 or so years by dredging channels through them to transport materials and workers and to lay pipelines. And hurricane Katrina used one area of destroyed wetlands to sweep directly into New Orleans. If this habitat had been left alone, or treated with care, the consequences of Katrina would have been much less. You know, we truly are going to run out of oil eventually. We have already run very low and oil that is easy and safe to extract. If this were not true we would not be drilling over a mile below the ocean. Cheap gas is keeping us from spending the money to develop alternatives, and there are alternatives. If we invest in other forms of energy, we will not run out of oil for all of those other essential products that you mention. It would not take drilling in the bottom of the ocean, and destroying all of this life on our planet to get enough oil to make all of those other things, if we did not guzzle gasoline. I just cannot imagine the mind of anyone who can watch this awful thing on the news and still think we should continue to allow the oil companies to drill and to carelessly allow this thing to happen which they have no idea how to stop. This thing could cover all of the oceans of the world, and then we would die along with all of the other animals on the planet, but heaven forbid we do without our SUVs.
problematic thing. check out in bing and yahoo. this can help!
