The Avital 3100 is really not a basic system. This system should include the Ignition cutoff, door lock/unlock, remote start, plus the ability to add sensors (like glass break detectors,etc.) It's best you keep the system and teach the unit to learn the remotes. If the alarm goes off too often you can adjust its sensitivity. If you just wish to disable it altogether and the ignition cutoff was not properly installed, reach under the dash to the right of the steering column and look for a red wire that has a fuse holder- just remove that fuse.

Being an 01it should have the same set up as a front wiper. Most modern vehicle wiper arms have a hook. On the side of where the blade and the wiper arm meet.there should be a little tab on the blade end that releases the blade from that arm. Just press that tab.and slide the blade toward the base of the arm. This may take a bit of pressure but.not too much. If all else fails.take it to an auto parts store. They can usually change them for you.or.show you how to do it.
