If these detectors are hard-wired, one is tripped and it is sounding the others. So, check all of them. If you are 'not sure', then there is some possibility that it is a genuine alarm - in that case, call the fire department and let them know what is happening. CO is the silent killer - colorless, odorless and tasteless - and undetectable by humans - until you keel over. Don't mess with it.
When I was 13 I took a survival course as part of the Red Cross swimmer and life-saver training program. Part of this course involved swimming diving, jumping, doing laps, doing rescues with your clothes on. It also required you to learn how to removed your clothing stripping down to your swim suit while in deep water. It was the most fun I have ever had in the water (and I was practically born swimming, and have never stopped, AND have been in some incredible swimming spots). Look for one of those courses, and enjoy!
