So I just installed a cold air intake on my 2011 toyota corolla and it really made a difference and I like it. Better mpg, more horsepower. But the engine does idle at a slightly higher rpm and feels different starting up. Is this normal? Also should I not be so nervous about the intake. I feel like something is going to come loose but I followed the instructions meticulously but I guess thats just me.
The last day of winter, as the next is the start of spring. I think bears have the right idea - hibernate. I would given half a chance!!!
The dog poops are frozen and easy to shovel. That's all I can say nice about winter. Cold is a 4-letter word.
Better mpg, more horsepower, ? ,,, not . that is just your imagination.
Better HP and more MPG---in your dreams. There is no way in the world you're getting better gas mileage. And the only time you get more HP with a cold air intake is when your foot is to the floor and you're at or near red line. Go back and read the fine print on your cold air intake. You'll see that the HP increase they talk about only happens at around 5,000 RPM and above. Below that, the HP increase in ZIP. Nadda. You just bought yourself a deep throaty sound--that's it. No extra HP, no extra MPG. I wrote an article on cold air intakes. You'll find it on my blog under Rip-Offs and Scams. See the post below
