Question:

Is this vintage clock worth anything? Hermle Quartz 2100 - Antique?

Is this vintage clock worth anything? It is a Hermle Quartz 2100. The side of the styrofoam has a sticker that says H-44605 not sure if that is the model? Clock is brand new in the box.

Answer:

Diamonds and quartz are not the same. A diamond is almost totally carbon, while quartz is silicon dioxide (SiO2), both with some impurities for color.
Well it depends what it is. If you're saying it's quartz, then it's not a diamond. They are made of completely different elements.
Diamond Quartz Meaning
You're either talking about a quartz timepiece, which has nothing to do with diamonds or the little sparkly thing you see on your watch face. The mechanism that actually keeps time on your watch depends on quartz. You may also mean that your watch contains a Herkimer Diamond or something similar, meaning a particularly pretty, pure quartz with a neat, double-pointed, faceted structure. Either way, no, your watch isn't likely to be worth much.
