I have a vented gas fireplace. The manual says to lay vermiculite by the burners. I am reading on the internet that much vermiculite in the US was contaminated with asbestos. Should I take the risk or just not use it? What else could I use instead of vermiculite in gas fireplace?
Just keep the vermiculite barely damp.
