Question:

It seems like everytime I do anything to my hair, it gets poofy & frizzy how can i keep my hair without perm?

I have puerto rican and african american hair, but it's more african american than puerto rican, so it gets frizzy and poofy in almost any weatherAs soon as i go outside, my hair looks badWhat can i do to keep my styles without perming it or using any chemicals?

Answer:

Haha, all junior enlisted will deal with sewage of some kind during their timeUntil you put on NCO, your secondary job is to take out trash, clean latrines, and whatever else is assigned to youNow that I got that out, all you gotta do is say you are not leaving until you get a different jobYou will probably have to go back up to MEPS again, but if you really don't want that job then I highly recommend changing itFour years of your life may not seem like long but you will be doing your job 24/7 often times especially while deployedGood luck!
Dont listen to the first guyYou would need to go to the recruiter and tell them you are interested in switchinge will work with you in seeing whether or not you qualify for HMIf you do, he will have to put in some paperwork to see if they will allow you to switch ratesIf they can, they will allow you to switchKeep in mind that this will most likely change the date you leave for boot campWhatever you do, do NOT wait until you get to boot camp, as they no longer allow you to swap from one rate to another once you arrive in Great Lakes.
HOLY CRAP! (No pun intended) You're an HT?!?!? The nickname for this rate is turd chaserGet used to being called turd chaser 3rd class and so on., Basically, you hold a lot of power in this situationYou really need to change rates man., There is one opportunity to do so at bootcamp but the only other way to really get around it is to go in as an undesignated seaman/airman/constructionman/firemanj I would suggest trying to work it so you go in as an UNDES AIRMANYou'll be happiest with that set-up., trust me on that one.,
you have 2 choices: drop out of DEP completely now and not enlist at all or submit a DAR(DEPper Action Request) that requests a new rating, but if 11 August Rolls aroundand you have not been abel to change, you are faced with shipping with what you currently have, or not enlisting at all so which is more important: being in the Navy, or getting a certain rating? you can not be picky any longer and HT is not just dealing with sewage although that is a component and Poly is incorrect: there ARE females on small boys and the Navy no longer allows you to ship Undesignatedyou must have an A school guarantee, period.
I am also bi racial (African American and Mexican) and I have african american hairI stopped using a relaxer because it made my hair too fragile over the yearsI go for the straight look over the natural look so this is my routine: I use the Pantene hair shampoo for colored women (an oil based shampoo)I use Carol's Daughter Tui Smoothie Conditioner and leave it in for 3 mins or soI then use a Protein based deep conditioner and leave it in for 30 mins I then grease my scalp with Carol's Daughter Hair ButterNext, I spray GHD thermal spray throughout my hair and then apply GHD Hair Smoothing BalmI blowdry my hair straight with a ceramic brushI then apply again the GHD Hair Smoothing Balm throughout my hair and section my hair and straighten it with the GHD Flat Iron spraying each section (again) with the GHD thermal spray When done, I apply some shining serum throughout my hair and I am done for the weekI wrap my hair wtih a silk scarf every night to prevent breakage and to keep my hair straightI use to use the CHI flat iron, but the GHD does not let my hair frizz up in the humidity like the CHI didIt is worth every pennyGood luck!
