Jeep cherakee A CV AXLE help?

Im looking at cars, and this one is cheap and nice, but the owner says that all it needs is a A CV AXLE. One, what is it, and two how much will it cost to buy one?

Answer:

easy way to check is if u have electric windows try putting them down if it wont go down then u have a blown fuse if u dnt have electric windows go onto fuse box layout online and type in your model and change the fuse it connects to the wipers
A constant velocity axle is what gives power to the front axle. The power goes from the engine to the transmission to the transfer case then to the drive lines which goes into the differential then the axle, in this case the cv axle. (constant velocity axle) There normally 59.99 to 79.99 from Autozone. The more expensive part is getting it changed out your normally looking at 1-2 hours of labor.
Jeep never produced a Cherokee with a CV axle.
What is it chevy ford ,, Chevy had a recall on the 96 -99 md with water getting in to the moter assy and on the board and makeing the wipers do weard thing ,
First check the fuse box under the dash. Should be on the drivers side, but could be on the passengers. There should be a fuse diagram telling you which one is which. Look for something that indicates wipers, but it doesnt hurt to check them all and replace any that look burnt in the middle or corroded. Replace with the same. Any local car parts place should be able to help you if your still not sure.
