My best guess would be a valve cover gasket failed horribly and leaked a very large amount of engine oil onto the exhaust manifold. Check your oil level, bring it up to the correct level, restart the Truck while cold and take a very bright light and look for the massive oil leak, hopefully its just the valve cover, usually an easy replacement.

Well, an oil leak can do that. So check the valve cover gaskets first.
