1. I played the violin but don't really want to anymore, so which should I do, violin or keyboard?2. How much is a rental keyboard?3.My friends mom teaches piano, would she also be able to teach keyboard?
I play all three, Guitar, Piano and Violin. I learned Piano and Violin when I was young. I like the Violin also but it will never give you the satisfaction that playing piano will. Piano also teached music theory that will help you with the Guitar. It may be easy to pick up the Violin since you already are used to fingerings and having one hand move opposite to the other. Violin is OK if you are going to use it somewhere, otherwise I hardly ever play it . I can sit at the piano and amuse myself for a long time. However, playing Guitar is the best, how cool is that?
Learning keyboard is pretty much the same as piano. But actually playing is alittle different. Is smaller, but its all about what you want it to sound like. A keyboard is just there to make the piano have differnent sounds and ryhthms on it. They, of course, are more for bands, so learning chords are important. Depending on where you go for lessons, they should be the same for any instrument. For renting, I have not heard of places that rent keyboards, but then again we dont live in the same place, lol. Its the differnet instruments that cost different with renting. If you find a place the rents keyboards it shouldnt be that expensive becuz its popularity. Good luck!
