Question:

Korean war veteran's memorial?

Does anyone know any interseting facts about the Korean War Veteran's Memorial in Washington D.C?

Answer:

they are made like that on purpose to stop you from rigging a gas heater and blowing yourself up. these are call GAS fittings they have to be mated up to fit proper and have less loss of life due to faulty plumbing.I have seen guys wrap a bunch of threaded Teflon to unmatched threads and it still leaks like heck ..especially propane gas.in order to make the connection correct you need only to apply the CORRECT fittings to make it workbut these hard headed Yankees will try and save a buck and blow themselves up.Get a licensed guy to work on these types of things..gas can kill you.
I work for a large commercial HVAC contractor, in large units it is normal to experience a burn off curing initial startup. Most smoke detectors do not detect CO, they either detect particles than can conduct static electricity or particles that block light.
Hi, Nick. First off - thank you for having it and using it - well done! Many smaller units can be refilled, but you may find that the cost is a bit much compared to just getting a new one. (Your observation that it doesn't have the little hose suggests that it is truly a one-use item.) The trade-off gets better as they get bigger. I keep a 4A 40 BC unit in a good access spot, which costs around three times more than the average (smaller/10 lb) household extinguisher; it's been recertified. A couple of smaller ones around, too. Having one at a camp site is a very good thing. Like a smoke detector or CO detector, a small amount of money for a rarely used but no-substitute emergency item. Buy a couple!
