You have a nice late model car why would you want to put in crap that will hurt perfomance and economy and make your car look like a beater 1993 civic.

If it is on the inside, you can use the defroster and the rear wiper. If it is on the outside, the wiper will put wear marks on it. The defroster doesn't get hot enough to hurt it. Added: For Jack W. Many cars/trucks have an electric defroster on the inside of the rear glass. They are very fine wires that run from side to side. Many also have rear window wiper blades.
