Please tell me the following.Leg Press Moderate (what you begin with):Leg Press MaxLeg Curl moderateLeg curl max
i just started doing leg press a few weeks ago...made some good progress....400 pounds worth of progress, which sounds rediculous and impossible but i got some good genes...and some good supplements... i begin with 6 plates or about 270 pounds end at around 750 775 not including the sled thats 6 sets i try to go up 2 plates each time then at the end i put like 2 25s on or something to add it to 750 or 775 leg curls i just started them last weak i used to focus more on my calves then anything...but i think its like 175 or so i max out at and moderate like 130
leg press i start out with 200lbs not including the sled ( i never include the sled in the weight) then i add another 200lbs every set max is only around 700 i think, maybe a bit more now leg curl....? i dont know, i only use them for maxing out. if you want to work your hamstrings the best thing is good mornings and squats (with your knees out. many people push with their quads, which is incorrect) then i will max out my hamstrings with leg curls, maybe 40-60 lbs
i do 3 sets of 10...havent maxed out lately. but for leg press i do 380 for the first set and 400 for the last 2 not including the sled. and for leg curls i do 150 for the first 2 sets and 170 for the last one.
Start with Leg extensions and move onto Leg curls. When you do Leg extentions hold it for 2 seconds, this will give you the burn effect. If u are doing Leg curls u will need a spotter just to help you squeeze out your reps... Do leg presses or squats afterwards as this is a power exercise for your thighs...
There is not substitute for squats and leg press, and I think it is the most difficult to do, but anyhow anything close to squats and leg press is running, but that is going make you slim. You should be very careful while doing it, or you could face problem in your knee or hips when you are old.
