Question:

Lifted truck for first car?

I‘m 15 about to turn 16 in a few months and me and my dad have been looking for me a vehicle, iv been looking for a lifted chevy truck mostly for haulin my dirt bike and other things around and for muddin and offroading but my dad wants me to get a small toyota truck for better gas mileage but I‘m lookin for a truck with a v8 cause of the sounds and power, but what do you think is better, a Toyota or chevy truck for a kid like me? Also is there any downside to driving lifted trucks?

Answer:

Chevy s10 zr2 the zr2 suspension is really high. The truck itself is built solid as a rock and they aren't too bad on gas. You probably aren't gonna be to happy with a full size lifted truck as a first vehicle cause it will have an after market lift and if any part of the suspension breaks (and it will) it's will be diffacult to find replacement parts and it will be expensive. The gas mileage will suck and the worst part that your definatly not gonna like is the fact that when its windy out it will feel like your driveing a box van extremely tough to stay in your lane at high speeds.
If you run away, yes. If you injured the person badly or killed him, yes. If you only damaged their vehicle, no. They will give you a ticket and you will have to report it to your insurance and their insurance. If your license is expired, suspended, revoked, or non-existent, yes.
Usually when you hit someone in front of you, you are at fault. If you are judged careless, you can be in trouble. Brakes can fail.and that can be checked.
Good, my husband drives a large truck. I mean, it's significant. He has to give me a boost just so i can get in it. Me? I've a cheap Honda Civic Coupe. The negative man does not even fit inside of it. It will be humorous if it weren't so unhappy to see the appear on his face after we ought to take my auto. He appears like a Pittbull shoves into a Chihuahua cage. Then, we also have a bike. I refuse to move close it. We also have a Crown Victoria. We use that after older loved ones members are in town. It is a total old folks auto. However I really can't think his Grandma (who's 106) attempting to sit in my vehicle. I undoubtedly can't suppose him trying to toss her into the front seat of his truck, lol. Strangely, i will be able to think her on the motorbike
I'd go with the Toyota. The hold their value, look great lifted, perform great in mud, and even sound ok with aftermarket exhaust. Trust me, you'll love having the extra dough in your pocket from all the gallons of gas you'll save. I will say that if you plan to have offroad tires and lift, you'll be killing the gas mileage in most cases.
