Generally the alarm will continue to go off due to lack of charge on the system. Do you have a toggle switch or button under the dash to put it into valet mode? If you do, then turn the key to the on position then turn it back, go under the dash and push the button or flip the switch. I don't know if this is a ford alarm or aftermarket, like viperthis is for aftermarket systems.
