Delicious recipe and very simple! I had a hard time coooking when I moved out of my parents place and always had friends over. So i saw this while watching t.v. and it looked sooooooo easy and it was! This is very very tasty too! Enjoyyyyy! :D Kermit's Key Lime Pie Ingredients 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 3 egg yolks 1/4 cup key lime juice 1 (9-inch) graham cracker pie crust Whipped cream, to garnish Directions Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In a mixer on low-medium speed, blend the milk and egg yolks at low speed until smooth. Add the key lime juice and finish blending. Gently pour the mixture into the piecrust and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the pie from the oven and let cool for another 15 minutes before refrigerating. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours before serving. Serve cold and top with fresh whipped cream.
You can cook the eggs over a double boiler with the lime juice and sugar with a splash of water to a froth, the beat in the Condensed milk, I prefer the oven method more firm but a nicer texture and it lasts longer, if you use egg yolks only it is fine, but for me I hate to waste the whites so I use them, even make a meringue, I fold mine into the filling, it is more cheesecake like, and I prefer whipped cream on mine when I serve it.
