No, most are snake oil. Unless your engine has serious problems, stay away from oil additives. They might not hurt anything, but they are waste of money.
If motor oil is this important to you, you wouldn't dream of using an additive because you would already have been smart enough to use Synthetic Oil. So use synthetic oil, you won't need additives
believe it or not there is already additive in motor oil. if it comes down to it the only thing i trust is BG products or cd2.
