THE SIMPLE ANSWER IS YES. Home alarm systems works I suppose, but since it is a man made device, it can also be hank by another human being. Of course, in a commercial they make it look perfect because they are SELLING the idea of home alarm system. Would you buy something that doesn't work or looks lousy to you? Of course not. There was a film starring Bruce Willis about a house with home security system but was invaded by 3 young guys, I forgot the title of this thriller. So the guys once inside the house close down the whole system without knowing it. And held hostage the entire family consisting of a father, a daughter and his younger brother. Most of the alarm of this house security feature are place into the police line. So once it alarm, the police department will respond immediately to the house. So I guess the occupant of this house shouldn't tamper with the alarm system otherwise the cops who will go there will be pissed off once they were told it was just a false alarm. I guess the alarm system WORKS. Otherwise, those millionaire wouldn't installed a device worth half a million into their premises in the first place. I guess only the rich can afford such a device or equipments. And I guess feeling safe is indeed a nice word to say when you have this so called home security system at your finger tips.
