Question:

looking at a blaupunkt subwoofer tubeTheres no reviewsIm really just wondering what a spun paper cone is?

is there a difference in spun paper and paper? what is an aluminum voice coil? Ive read to stay away from paper, does spun paper count? Ive never heard of it before

Answer:

I think it was Las Vegas slim because I believe Toyota was trying a 600 packageThey had nothing to lose testing under true race conditions.
spun paper is what it is made out ofpaper that has been spunthe paper is sliced into thin strips like string and then coated in glue and spun around a mould and then cooked to dryits slightly stronger then paper but at the end of the day it is still PAPER and flimsy compared to silly cone or rubber cones its the sound passing thru the Voice coil that makes the sounds and cause the sub to move aluminium is just the metal it is made fromyou willl find that 90% are ali but they just dont normaly say.
Funny post I think the motors spoke for themselves and what JGR said at the beginning of the weekendThey were bada$$ before going sour Hayseed?? lol Thats an old JR nickname.
I'd go with Hamlin, Gibbs motors dont fail very often.
My guess is Slim was telling the truthTony Stewart had problems, the 18 blew up, the 11 had problemsI think they were indeed trying something new and it just didn't hold up.
