I have been looking for an air compressor for my motorcycle‘s tires. The problem that I always find is that all of the tire compressors I see out there need a 12V power outlet. Does anyone know any compressors that could be re-charged or plug in the wall and do not use the 12V outlet?I don‘t have a car so I am looking for something that would work without the 12V power outlet. Thanks!
For pretty cheap at advanced auto, you can get a motorcycle accessory attachment that wires to your battery and has a male/female end on it. Then, either at advanced, or walmart, I forget where I got mine, you can get a 12v cigarette lighter attachment that will work with just about any compressor. I use the slime one from walmart. All in all you'll be spending maybe $40. That beats a $129 compressor from home depot. Just make sure your bike is running while you use the compressor so it doesnt drain your battery.
All I use is a bike pump when I'm at home and gas station compressors when I'm out and about. With a hand pump, you don't even need an outlet at all. They are cheap, they last forever, and you can bring them to the park to pump up soccer balls and basket balls when you need to.
Lets see. Sears sell them, WalMart, auto parts stores, Lowes, Menards, etc. sell them so my guess is that these stores are hard to find.
