Total load 8000 kVA, at 13,800 volts,bus-bar voltage, I 8000(1000)/1.732(13.8)(10000 I 334.7 amperes. At 6,900 volts bus-bar voltage I 8000(1000)/1.732(6.9)1000 669.amperes. Since you have not mentioned the operating voltage,I recommend the operating voltage be 6,900volts, A copper bus bar as listed in the reference tables is rated 900 amperes at 30 deg C rise,, Dimension is 1/4 X 3 inches. With this capacity you will have a factor of safety of 900/669 1.345 amperes. 3 pcs. -1/4 X 3 copper bus bars is recommended.
