I was just eating one of those small coloured chocolate eggs and I felt something hardI took it out and it was bracket from my braceIt was one on the back molar which didn't have a wire on yet so it doesn't affect the movement I'm going to the orthodontist as soon as possible which is Tuesday but it feel really rough where the bracket wasIs this the glue or some of my tooth chipped?
If it is rough around that area, it is most likely the glue. If it were a chip or something bad, you would feel it and need to go to the dentist or orthodontist as soon as possible. Try to enjoy Easter without the bracket in!!
I have had this happen to me many times when i had braces (I had the tendency to chew ice :l). If there isn't a tooth chunk on your bracket that fell off, then it is most likely just the glue. The bracket tends to make the glue harden in weird sharp points and bumps. When braces are taken off the hard glue on the teeth remain, so they have to scrape it off. I would not worry about it. It happens all the time. If you wanted, you could shine small flashlight in your mouth to get a better look at your tooth if you are really worried.
