Melting Quartz Crystal with High Current Amps.?

Quartz crystals metl at 1670 degrees celcius. Do you think that a 50,000 Amps custom built transformer with low voltage would be powerful enoiugh to generate enough heat to melt quartz crystal. I know you can melt metal and other materials with high current electricty. Thanks.
