I'm a high school gymnast and I compete all around. For rings, p-bars, and floor, I need to learn a handstand press. Besides working core, back, and shoulders, what exercises can help me work on them? I've been practicing for a while (doing them with a spot, against a wall) but I can't get them. Any ideas? Or websites with good exercises/tutorials?
I actually wouldn't recommend you do any more strength. If you are already training and doing skills, then what you probably need is flexibility. Work you middle splits on a daily basis and when you try to do try to make your feet be in line with the rest of your body, as opposed to piked.
This hapens to be the exaat situation i am in and have improved greatly by doing it off a crashmat hands on the floor feet on the mat
