Question:

motorcycle rear tire out of alignment symptoms?

i installed a 520 kit on my motorcycle and it just doesn't feel right when i ride around. the bike rides straight but feels like there is drag when i pull in the clutch. could it be the 520 kit playing games with my head or?

Answer:

Possible problems. 1. Chain too tight. 2. brake dragging 3. Spacers installed wrong and bearings about to lock up. Put the bike up on the center stand, if it has one and spin the back wheel to see whats wrong.
I like the above guess: chain too tight. Also, if you changed out your sprockets for aluminum, you will get some drag, although it probably wouldn't be very noticeable. You lose about 3% efficiency when using aluminum sprockets, due to the increased friction over steel. So changing to a 520 with aluminum sprockets can give you a boost in acceleration, but it will definitely reduce your top speed, fuel efficiency, and maximum final horsepower.
Sounds like the back brake is adjusted to tight and/or the chain is ti tight.Could have bad worn sprockets, they cause drag.
