Motorcycle tire question?

I‘m looking at getting a set of pirelli diablo Rosso‘s and a friend has a new set of 190/55/17 rear and 120/70/17 front Stock I‘m supposed to have 180-55-17 rear and 120-65-17 front. How much would handling be affect if these would even fit? It‘s in an 07 ZZR

Answer:

Should be OK. Make sure you have room for a slightly wider rear tire though.
Ain't gonna happen as the side profile of the larger tire will more than likely rub on the drive chain.I have seen people do it and then because they spent the money and were P offed let the chain rub and chunk pieces of the side profile right off.Remember that the chain stays in the same place but the distance to the inside of the swing arm will really tighten thus pushing the chain out of alignment and wearing out the tire.
The rear tire will be slightly wider, about 1/2 inch. Remember that it will be around 1/4 inch on each side. The front tire will be about 1/2 taller, but since half of that is going to be on the bottom, you're looking at around 1/4 less clearance under the front fender. It is also going to affect the speedometer a bit, making it read slower while going the same speed as before. If the speedo is fast like many are from the factory, it will actually make it more accurate.
