Question:

Motorcycle Tire Sites?

Motorcycle Tire Sites?

Answer:

Make sure your dealer will mount tires you get from elsewhere. Some will some won't some charge extra. Don't forget the cost of freight.
A couple of the car tire sites now carry motorcycle tires. I have found a handful of motorcycle tire only websites. But honestly, everyone has caught up to that business model, bying your car tires at those places is no cheaper anymore after shipping and getting hosed on the cost to mount them. The last 2 sets of bike tires I bought were from Bike Bandit, who were the cheapest and one of the few to not have every common size on backorder. I did not think that was going to be the case, but both times they were the best. Last set I ordered on Sat afternoon and they were on my front porch Tues morning. V-rated Bridgestone Battleax (BT45), total bill was just under $200 and a fresh date code. And yeah, when you do that the dealer will punish you on the mounting so just mount your own. I've even mounted my truck tires with a pair of spoons (just to say I did it), so to me bike tires are not hard work.
