Question:

my ac in my house wont drop in temp?

so i have had 3 ac guys at my house this week and they all tell me my ac is working fine and there is absolutly nothing wrong with it but air will not stay in my house i have all new windows and doors in my house as well but when the last guy came he went in my attic and said it needs better insulation up there i was just wondering b4 i did this project if that would really work ? i mean i know it has been extremly hot out this past few weeks so if anyone has any advice i would appricieate it thanks

Answer:

What is your discharge air temp out of the vent? (50-52 is where you need to be) Return temp as well? (if its above 80 then the first set of number will be highere) If they all say its good, there are other things too look atHow is the evaporator coil? Had or have you been using pleated filters? How is the blower wheel, nice and clean? Is the condensing unit dirty? It may just be a simple math of load factorTo hot of heat outside and the system cant keep up with the loadSo, it possible insulation is the issue However, a powered roof vent maybe a better alternativeIt will remove the heat from the atticIt can make a huge difference on the ac system.
Your question is not very clearCombining metals usually makes an alloyIt is not a chemical or nuclear reaction.
