the alarm doesnt make a sound, it only activates the flashers.
Depending on the material to be cut would determine the method of cutting the lock. If the lock is not hardened it can be cut with bolt cutters or a hacksaw. However if the material is hardened, grind the parts of the lock to be removed. The hardened parts of a lock would most likely be tempered to about 38 to 42 rockwell C; which is approching a spring temper. Assuming the only method to cut a lock is the use a bolt cutter is flawed and may not work at all. Cutting a hardened lock with a bolt cutter may be possible, but most likely the bolt cutter jaws will be damaged in the process.
you don't need braid. i use 12lb mono for top water and have no problems. all the rods i use are veritas or vendetta by abu garcia
