Helo i have a 1992 ford escort and recently got a new battery because my car wasnt starting up.I had the alternator tested after i had it jumped and the alt tested fine. But when i got my new battery i parked my car for a few days later got in and it didn't turn on. wen i tied to turn it on the bell for the open door caution rang and i felt the click on my ignition switch but no reving.what could be is it a fuse?If so can it be possible to jump a car wit a bad switch?
It could be a fuse. But I'd look at the starter also. a lot of times you can jump start a car with a bad starter. Or if it's a stick shift just bump start it.
Try putting the keys in the ignition.
Check your fuses and make sure positive and negative cables to the battery are properly connected.
I would say ether the starter or the ignition coil, or maybe it could be ur battery again. It could have gotten drained or bought a bad battery. Have you tried jumping it with the new battery?
sounds like you have a parasitic drain on your battery. that means there is something in the electronics of your vehicle that's drawing enough amps to drain your battery. need to hook a test light up in series with your negative battery terminal and pull fuses till the light of your test light goes out. when you pull a fuse and the light goes out, what ever the load( electrical component) on that circuit that the fuse is protecting is your problem. that's what it sounds like if you just changed your battery and its dead.
