we just got it back from the mechanic who replaced the transfer case. when we got it back i noticed that the check air suspension light was on and now i‘m not hearing the compressor kick on. any ideas?
Take it back , it could be something he did not put back on or turn back on. Also could be a wire off.
Start by checking the cut off switch. If it was towed, or if the shop had it on the lift they probably turned it off and forgot to turn it back on. Next look in your manual for fuse locations and check fuses related to suspension(normally an effect not cause). If all the fuses are good, check the car for error codes. The relay modules go bad a lot of the time. Or you may have an air line leak in the system. That can cause the pump motor to burn out. Also, a bad ride height sensor can shut the system down. Or, do it the easy way, and take it back where it was worked on and tell them to look. Chances are they will turn the system back on or plug in the wire they forgot, and all will be well again.
He/she would have disabled the air suspension system to do the work. There is a switch to turn it on and off and I believe it's located behind the right kick panel in this car.
