Question:

MY COPPER PIPES IN BASEMENT ARE SWEATING AND MAKING A MESS?

WHAT IS A GOOD REMEDY FOR THIS

Answer:

there is a tube insulation . it comes in lenghts of 5 feetand some types are pre slitdown the side.so you can just open up the tube and slide it on the pipe.it can be cut to length with a steak knifeall you would need to know is ur pipes dimention. most common is 3/4 and 1/2 about the size of a thumb and pinkyPre -Split Armorflexother wise it is hard. cutting open the whole side of the tube so it can be put in the pipe
a cold air really isn't all that cold. a short ram air is shorter and better. What you should do is get the short ram air then get a hood scoop so that the ram air come up right there. Then you will get cold rammed air.
For a ricer? Probably Injen. rich2481, it depends where you mount the intake head, but getting cold air (as in air that is at a much lower temperature than that in the engine bay) during forward motion is indeed very much possible.
All the answers above are good remedies. You may also want to put a dehumidifier in your basement as well. Just make sure to drain to a floor drain.
Be sure to seal up windows and doors so that hot humid outside air is not entering the basement (or anywhere else in the house.) Place a dehumidifier in the basement to reduce the moisture of the air. Unless the source water temperature is very low, the dehumidifier will decrease humidity to the point where the pipes will no longer be able to condense water out of the air.
