has anyone had any problems with the anti-lock brake system?
There is no doubt that riding motorcycles can be dangerous, but then so can working the night shift at the 7-11! You have to make this choice for yourself. No one else can decide if you should ride or not. Personally, I love riding, and even though I have been in one serious wreck, and 2 minor lay-downs, I still ride about 800 to 1000 miles per month on average.
If you ask me, the answer is no. My father was 56 years old when he died as a result of a head injury that occurred from a minor accident. His body didn't have a scratch on it, yet he was brain dead. I watched my vibrant, full-of-life lie motionless in a bed on a ventihilator and had to say goodbye. My husband and I talk about how fun it looks to ride all the time. I'm sure it's a great feeling and a lot of fun. The risk is just too great though. Yeah you can get into a car accident any day, but the chances that you'll live through it are in your odds. .and yeah, my Dad had his helmet on and there wasn't a scratch on it.or his bike.
Does your gadget have a separate electric powered pump to fee the accumulator on the passenger part. Key on, engine off, pump the brake pedal continually. Does a pump come directly to fee the accumulator? If any of above, you have the Bendix gadget. It,,no longer the accumulator or hoses, are assured for existence. no longer helpful on the 1991 whilst they replaced over to extra cutting-edge gadget, yet 1990 and lower back i'm particular! playstation I additionally lost the hose between the pump and grasp cylinder and it did no longer fee $six hundred!!!
Um yes. I,m a Ford/Chrysler mechanic and anti-lock brakes can have problems but if you want any kind of an intelligent useful answer you need to be MUCH more specific as to what kind of problem you are having.
anti lock brakes are a whole nother class in auto repair college. if you do your own break jobs, make sure you open the bleeder valves when compressing the calipers. the main reason for the anti-lock trouble light coming on is people doing there own brakes and pushing the brake fluid back into the master cylinder. the second most common problem is that a sensors on the wheels is either dirty or malfunctions. to check anything on these systems, you need a code reader for anti-lock brakes. you also need it to reset the dash light if it stays on. when the system activates, it sounds and feels like something is terribly wrong with the brakes. there is not. if the system ever fails, the brakes will work normally, so need to worry if it fails. one more thing--it is expensive to fix anything wrong with the system, and best left to the professional who has the proper equipment and training.
