Question:

what makes the brake light in the dashboard come on in a 99 ford tarus?

I bought a 99 ford tarus a couple of weeks ago and the abs light was on in the dashboard which I was told meant that the abs doesnt work which I was ok with but then last week my red brake light come on and i lost most of my brake pedal. I got the pads changed in the front and the light went off then today I was driving and red brake line came on. I checked my brake fluid and it was a little low so I filled it up but the light is still on. I need some ideas what to check now

Answer:

Take your bike out for about a 20 mile ride then jump off and check the pressure, when the tire heats up you gain some psi.I bet that the pressure will be right around the manufacturer's specs.I do the same thing.
The tire sidewall lists the MAXIMUM pressure as well as the MAXIMUM load. Tire pressure is a matter of individual taste, provided the tire isn't under-inflated ( that will cost you gas mileage) or over-inflated (which will crown the tire and wear the middle unevenly). Your tire guy gave you a starting point. You should be able to find a point between the 32 42 to suit your style of riding, comfort, and give good tire wear.
Whats printed on the tire is the max pressure as defined by the tire manufacturer. The motorcycle manufacturer on the other hand may specify a different pressure. I'd go with what the installer said or check the motorcycle's owner manual.
Brake system not holding pressure Leak at one of the ports Bad proportioning valve Defective brake sensor If car jumps while driving, ABS ring broken
