Question:

my daugher was fired after only 2 days at a new job.no specfic reason for her termination?

does my daughter have a right to file suit against the company she was fired from? also does she have the right to compensation.

Answer:

how much of the run is 1/2? Does it feed anything else like furnace..? Is it being inspected? An inspector will notice inadequate supplies in a heartbeat. Your best bet is upsize the pipe, especially if you plan to sell the house in the future. I've get inspection papers calling for me to upgrade the gas lines on a regular basis. But $600 seems a bit steep unless it's a long run?
Must agree with JimW. EMT is not threaded. 1-1/4 might be strong enough for a Ballet Bar but your connections will probably slip. Use Rigid.
I was unaware that plumbers didn't go to school for gas piping, I always wondered why they put that gas piping section in the plumbing code book. You're probably asking for trouble hooking both of those appliances up on a 1/2 gas line. Especially if there are other appliances in the house that use gas. I wouldn't install it this way, oversizing is rarely a problem, undersizing is always a problem. I can't quote you the exact formula since my book is not here but from experience I can say go with the 3/4. I normally run a 1 gas main through the house and branch off to fixtures with 1/2. Never a problem. And I never supply more than 1 fixture with a 1/2 pipe. I'd also get a few other estimates, I charge $4 - $6 per foot to install gas pipe, this includes all piping, fittings, and hangers.
there is alot more to it than that. you need to worry about cubic feet per hour because the proper cfh determines the btu. without knowing the grid of your gas line layout it would be hard to say. you can tap a 1/2 line with 3/4 with no poblem.
