Question:

My fiberglass resin cures too fast?

I bought some 3M brand fiberglass resin for a costume project I'm working on. I followed the instructions exactly and it says I should hav 10-15 minutes of working time. Unfortunately, I only get around 5min of working time before the resin begans to gel. Whats going on? I'm working outside in around 90 to 95 degree temperatures, if that means anything.

Answer:

The speed of light is high, but it is not infinite; that is the point of special relativity. Waves are travelling to us from distant stars but we are not seeing them as they are 'now', we are seeing them as they were years ago when the light left the star. If you travelled somewhere at the speed of light and then came back, you would still arrive shortly after you left. Instantaneous travel or propagation is impossible for any known force or particle. That depends on what type of extinguisher. All extinguishers work in the same manner. Too have a fire you need 3 components. - Heat - Fuel - Oxygen When you take away 1 off the components, the fire goes out. All extinguishers work by taking away the oxygen. The powder / foam / CO2 shield the fire from the oxygen in the air, and the fire goes out. Only difference are fire-hoses, they use water, which cool down the fire, and puts it out. I can go into detail alot, but the basics should be clear with this.
