I believe your speaking about the valance a.k.a (splash) shield the whole purpose of these were to help prevent small rocks and garbage from flying up under your car. The simple fact is it's meant to take a beating and get worn. Their fairly cheap and if it's not cracked or hanging and constantly scraping in normal driving conditions unless you stiffen up your suspension, lift the vehicle, or cut it shorter you'll just have to deal with the occasional scraping noise from speed bumps ect. Side Note: These are very cheap to replace if broken.
