Question:

My house is not insulated above the enclosed garage? Good or Bad?

Our house is in the south. It is insulated everywhere but over the enclosed garage and the front porchNothing between the weather but a thin piece of vinyl sidingShould these be insulated as well or is it just a waste of money? The garage and porch are not heated or cooled. Why would it matter. The insulation over the rest of the house is protecting the inside right?

Answer:

Typically, that's how they're constructed.even in the Northern statesIt won't matter unless you want to heat your garage to work on the carMost newer homes have insulation on the walls that are directly across from living space and an insulated door that enters through the garageThis is, generally, all one needs.
